Why We’re Here
Why We Exist Online
When the Bible said to “go out in the highways and biways, and compel them to come in,” the internet was definitely not in the minds of the hearers in those days, but today the internet is the highway for information and we recognize that people use the internet along with their laptops, desk computers, tablets and phones to gather information as they make decisions. If know God’s given us answers to many things that can help people in their lives, we’ve also got the compelling reason to go a certain way and what to think on as they prepare themselves to sit in front of God, and all He desires for us to consume/fill up on.
Why Not Sermons?
Many Christians today believe that showing up to church and consuming the “meat” of God’s word once a week is the best, or sometimes they think it’s the only way to go about giving it to people. The New Testament church has painted a very different picture for us, of groups of believers how come together to hep and edify each other as the body of Christ, instead of everyone sitting quietly and listening to one person speak into a microphone. It’s more effective to be a daily guide, and the apostle Paul noted this several times. However, not enough people today have those kinds of witness examples to glean from and without realizing it aren’t getting enough strength from “doing” God’s will. Consider the statements Jesus made in John 4:32-34.
Why Not Printed Books?
We may in the future offer a printed option of some of our books, but for now we believe that easier content is to be accessed, the more frequently it’s used, and since we’d rather have something that can be used the most, e-books and e-devotions remains the foundation of this website.
We do still plan to make available video seminars to help churches design their own plans, as well as weekly church devotions by video in the near future.
Burden to Teach
We believe that what man;y think of as “the 5-fold ministry” is truly a step ladder, where one starts at the base step in “teaching” which automatically gives the listener the feeling of being cared for – the purpose of TRUE ministry! We also know that without having light to give others, or being the salt to preserve God’s ways, we aren’t any good to our fellow humans. When we wish to share God, we must share love, because unless we’re sharing love, we aren’t really sharing God at all! This desire to see others grow is based from how God has shown us how to grow. To bless or to edify or to offer agape is to first help with sharing what we know and have experienced. At the root of our desire to be here is our desire to care for others – helping them overcome; planting knowledge and cultivating understanding that may not come through in a short concise Sunday sermon message. We hope you find a blessing in every book you purchase!
